No preparation is needed for the group dance audition! Simply fill out the dancer's email list and arrive at the John Wooden Center Legacy Room by 9 AM on October 6th for the audition. During the audition, we will have an instructor teach the group dance, and you will learn a small portion of each group dance on the spot. However, if you are interested in signing up for a solo or duet piece, please carefully review the dancer's email list and practice the specific segments listed in advance. Unlike performances that focus on standalone dance pieces, Shan^9 Chinese Dance Drama Society places greater emphasis on the continuity of storytelling. We not only showcase the artistic beauty of each dance but also incorporate traditional culture and stories into the performance through scripts and acting, providing the audience with an immersive experience that delves deep into Chinese history and culture. The works of Ninefold Fan include original narratives, skillfully weaving together different styles of Chinese dance. Moreover, our board members have extensive leadership experience in various dance organizations, and our current Artistic Director has also served as the Artistic Director for other dance groups. 不同于侧重于独立的舞蹈片段，九重扇则更注重故事的连贯性。我们不仅展示每段舞蹈的艺术美感，更通过剧本和表演将传统文化和故事融入演出，带给观众沉浸式的体验，深入挖掘中国的历史和文化。九重扇的作品包含原创剧情，把不同风格的中国舞蹈巧妙地编织在故事情节之中。同时我们board成员有丰富的舞社leadership经验，现任Artistic Director也曾担任其他舞社的Artistic Director。

Of course! We welcome anyone who loves dance and wants to give it a try. The audition is mainly about seeing what style of dance you enjoy or what type suits you best. The instructor will adjust the choreography based on the dancer's level of understanding. 当然没问题！我们欢迎所有热爱舞蹈并想尝试的朋友。试镜主要是看自己喜欢什么风格的舞蹈或者适合什么类型的。Instructor会根据舞者的接受程度进行适当的编舞调整。
